WCSD honors board members during NYS School Board Recognition Week

The Washingtonville Central School District extends its deepest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated Board of Education members, who consistently go above and beyond to serve the students, families and staff across the entire school district. Your generous gift of volunteer time, steadfast commitment and continued support foster growth, excellence and educational success for the betterment of our entire community.

During the most recent Board of Education meeting this week, Superintendent Dr. Larry Washington formally recognized board members for their exemplary leadership and unwavering service. In his remarks, he acknowledged their invaluable contributions to maintaining high standards of education and leadership throughout the district.

“This week is New York State School Board Recognition Week,” said Dr. Washington. ”It's really a time to honor the vital work of our local board members, so thank you. Our public schools are a bedrock of our district and it takes dedicated leadership to build a strong community. As public servants here tonight, they devote countless hours guiding our student success, making tough decisions, and providing accountability to our community. They drive achievement by establishing our district vision, aligning resources, monitoring our progress, fostering a safe learning environment, and evaluating our leadership to ensure continuous improvement.”
