Students embraced this year's superhero theme during Round Hill Elementary School's Field Day, taking on a variety of games and challenges throughout the day. Activities included a frisbee hula hoop toss, water-target challenge, cup-stacking competition, obstacle course and more!

This year’s theme was outer space, and students blasted off into a day of fun activities and friendly competition at Little Britain Elementary School. Grade levels rotated through games including a meteor shower water balloon toss, zero gravity sack race, rocket launching challenges, obstacle courses and a hula-hoop toss, keeping students moving from launch to landing.

Washingtonville Central School District's ongoing commitment to safety has earned statewide recognition, with the district receiving Utica National Insurance Group's School Safety Excellence Award at the Titanium with Honors level for 2026.

Washingtonville Board of Education President Sharon Williams was recognized at the Board of Education meeting on June 11, receiving the Board Lifetime Achievement Award through the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Board of Excellence Recognition Program. The award honors board members for their commitment to professional development, service and leadership in public education.

When Washingtonville High School Class of 2026 salutatorian Caroline Korba reflects on her time as a Wizard, the accolades aren't the first thing that comes to mind. The people are. From her first days at Round Hill Elementary through her final year at Washingtonville High School, Caroline built an academic career rooted in genuine involvement.
