Washingtonville Central School District’s music program is celebrating another year of excellence, highlighted by national recognition, prestigious student and instructor honors, and exciting opportunities for musicians across every grade level.

The Washingtonville Central School District (WCSD) continues to make significant progress across its comprehensive Capital Improvement Projects, designed to enhance learning environments and facilities district-wide. The latest updates, as of April 30, 2026, show several phases complete and exciting new construction expected across WCSD schools in the coming year.

At Washingtonville High School, senior Gianna Spindler has immersed herself in experiences both on stage and in the classroom, combining a passion for theater with an interest in law.

Washingtonville Central School District community members and staff were recognized by the Mid-Hudson School Study Council this week, earning Awards for Excellence in recognition of their service, leadership and impact on students and families across the district.

Congratulations to Alison McKinney,who received the Community Service Award. Nicole Oliveira, who received the Teacher Excellence Award and Robin White, who received the Award for Excellence in School Board Service!

The Washingtonville Central School District’s STEM Fair returned to Washingtonville High School, bringing together students, families and educators for a magical and memorable night of learning and exploration. More than 100 families attended, moving through dozens of stations representing programs across all grade levels, including Project Lead the Way, SUPA Science Research, GEMS in STEM and Odyssey of the Mind.

The Making a Difference Award recognizes the many examples of individual teachers, aides, drivers, safety, and other District staff who are making a difference in the lives of our children throughout our buildings. Members of the Washingtonville Board of Education delivered the Making a Difference Award to April recipients.
