Taft students buddy up to read, go on field trip

First grade classes went on a field trip to the Bardavon Theater in Poughkeepsie to see the show “It’s Ok To Be Different”. The show was based on three books by Todd Parr. The first graders had a great time learning about how to be a good audience and “dressed to impress” for their first visit to the theater.
Ms. Kavanagh’s 1st and 2nd 2nd-grader class met up for reading buddies with their friends in Ms. Weller and Ms. Donnelly’s 2nd-grade class!
Tucker, the therapy dog, and his owner Chris came to read and spend 1-1 time with Mrs. Knoth’s Kindergarten Aspire students.
