Taft Elementary end-of-the-year message from Mrs. Williams

Hello Taft Families,

It is hard to believe where the last couple of weeks went! They say that time flies when you're having fun! We sure have been busy and having fun!  The 2023-2024 school year has been another successful year for all of our Taft Wizards! We have seen a lot of growth academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally with our students. We are all very proud of all of their accomplishments! We know you are too!

REPORT CARDS

Our elementary report cards are available for parents and guardians to view as of Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Your child's report card is available on School Tool Parent Portal. HERE is a video that explains the School Tool Mobile Parent Access where you can see their grades as well as attendance and contact information.  You can also find information about Parent Portal on the district website HERE.

To view your child's report card in the traditional format, please go to the web browser for their grades.  Once you are on the page viewing their grades, click on the little printer icon.  That will produce a PDF of your child's report card. 

**If you are using a cell phone, it works best to go to the "full site".  Once you are logged in, go to the "menu" at the top and click on "Full Site".

This year, our Washingtonville Elementary Schools have moved to a new report card and trimester schedule.  Please see THIS document with some information and details about our new report cards.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITY

The district summer enrichment sign up has closed. However, Orange-Ulster BOCES is offering a free summer enrichment to Orange County students, Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Please see THIS flier for details or visit THIS website for information on what is being offered and how to sign up!

Please remember that students can still access some of our online educational apps through the Wizards Launch.

PERSONAL ITEMS

We have had some students leave behind some personal items. We have them in the main lobby. Please come between the hours of 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Thursday.

YEARBOOKS

If you would like to order a yearbook and have it delivered directly to you, please visit the Yearbook summer online store HERE. Our Taft main office also has a limited number of hard cover books that are available for purchase on a first come, first served basis. SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS

HERE are the supply lists for each grade level as well as our Aspire classes. All students will find out who their teacher is the end of August.

MOVING

If you are moving out of the district, please be sure to contact Mrs. Sanchez in our registrar's office. 845-497-4000, ext. 27041. Student Chrome books with charges MUST be returned. HERE is a withdrawal form.

PARENT SQUARE

This is our last Connect Ed message. Starting in July, our District will be using Parent Square for all communication. Please visit HERE for more information about how to activate your account!

May this summer be a time of rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, and reset! Best wishes to those students who are moving up to the Middle School and to those who are moving to other schools outside our district! We hope you always remember the lessons learned while being a Taft Wizard... Once a Wizard, Always a Wizard!  For those returning in the fall, we will see you in September ready to work hard and continue along your journey of learning and growing!
